Administration
Administration (otherwise known as “The Office”) is led by Eric Daniel (Honorary Secretary), supported by Ken Rowe (Quartermaster and Office Manager), and Judi Flaherty (Assistant Secretary).
The Admin Team are responsible for the smooth running of the Organisation, making sure that all members of staff have the necessary facilities to manage their section.
We look after all aspects of any functions, Services, conferences or meetings held by the VVPPAA Sub-Branch throughout the year, by preparing minutes, agendas, menus, and the Order of Service for Anzac Day, Veterans’ Day, & Remembrance Day. We also manage the day-to-day correspondence via emails and posted documents associated with Military Claims and the running of the Sub-Branch.
Military Compensation Advocates (Pensions)
This Team is led by Dr. Stephen S. Karsai OAM, J.P. (Level 2 Advocate) and strongly supported by Scott Tatnell (Level 1 Advocate), with Len Green currently undertaking the online course. The Pensions staff conduct interviews, and prepare appropriate forms and documentation to assist Veterans’ in making claims for issues including compensation, abuse, or assisting them in gaining a Veterans' White Card, or Gold Card (TPI) relating to injuries (mental and physical) received during Service through the various Military Compensation Acts.
Stephen (Retired Sergeant, Military Police) has been conducting these claims for approximately 12 years now, with a very high success rate, whilst Scott (Retired Lieutenant Colonel) has recently qualified as an Advocate, and currently has a caseload of around 40 active cases.
If you require assistance from our Advocates, please, contact the Office on (02) 4344 4760, Monday and Wednesday ONLY between 9am and 1pm to arrange an appointment.
You can leave a message outside these hours.
